Icona 20L Digital Microwave 2040XB 5 Power Levels Black | Kisasahome Kenya

When speed and precision matter in a busy Nairobi kitchen, the Icona 20L Digital Microwave 2040XB delivers both — membrane button controls, a digital display, and five power levels mean you set exactly what you need and the oven does the rest. Same compact 20-litre footprint as a manual model, but with a cleaner panel and digital accuracy for every reheat, defrost, or quick cook session.

Also known as: digital microwave oven, Icona microwave, countertop microwave, 20 litre digital microwave, solo digital microwave Kenya

• Digital controls for precise cooking — Membrane buttons for Micro, Defrost, Menu, and Reheat replace manual dials, giving you exact settings at a press rather than estimating on a dial. The digital display shows remaining time clearly throughout the cycle.
• 5 power levels to suit different foods — Full power for reheating ugali or rice, medium for warming sauces without boiling, low for gentle defrosting — the same five-level range covers the full range of everyday microwave tasks without overcooking.
• 245mm rotating glass tray for even heating — The turntable keeps food turning through the microwave field throughout the cycle, eliminating the cold spots and uneven temperatures you get when food sits still.
• Dedicated Reheat and Defrost buttons — One-press access to reheat and defrost programmes means you are not guessing power levels for the most common tasks — press, confirm the time or weight, and walk away.
• Sleek all-black Icona design — The full glossy black body with chrome handle sits cleanly on any counter. The Icona branding makes it a step up in finish compared to generic black models — looks at home in a modern Nairobi kitchen.

The right pick for Nairobi households that want digital accuracy over manual dial estimation — particularly useful for families where multiple people use the microwave and need consistent, predictable results. Also a strong fit for small office kitchens in Kampala or Kigali where a cleaner-looking appliance matters as much as performance. And a natural upgrade for anyone moving on from an older manual microwave who wants the same simplicity with added precision.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between this and the manual microwave models at Kisasahome?

The main difference is the control panel. This model uses digital membrane buttons with a display, including dedicated Reheat and Defrost shortcuts. The manual models use rotary dials for power and timer. Both are 20L with 5 power levels and a 245mm turntable — the digital version is faster to operate for the most common tasks.

Q: Can I set a specific power level manually, or only use the preset programmes?

Both. The Micro button lets you manually select your preferred power level and set a cooking time. The Menu and Reheat buttons offer preset programmes for common tasks. You can use whichever approach suits the food you are heating.

Q: Is the Icona brand supported locally in Kenya?
